6 Ways to improve your visibility before 2021

With less than a month until the end of the year I thought I’d share 6 Ways to improve your visibility before 2021.

Tell your story

If you haven’t actually reminded your followers – why you do, what you do, it’s a good idea to keep it fresh in their minds.

It’s easy to get lost in the busy-ness of running a business and to assume everyone knows who you are and why you do it.

There are so many benefits of sharing your story –

  • Increases brand awareness.
  • Makes you relatable.
  • Puts a name & story to your face.
  • Inspires other people
  • Starts conversations
  • Empowers other people

PS – And don’t forget to share a lovely photo of your face…cos you’ve had a Personal Branding shoot haven’t you?

Do a year-end round up

What have you been doing this year?

I’m betting that despite your best efforts you haven’t shared even half of what you’ve been up to. And even if you’ve been diligently sharing away I bet that a lot of your followers and customers haven’t seen all that you’ve done (it’s a great reminder to them of all your different offers).

So maybe do a blog post, podcast or facebook post where you share:

  • which blog posts have been your most popular (and share links to them)
  • what you’ve got up to behind the scenes
  • What you’ve learnt this year
  • People you want to thank
  • What you’re grateful for in 2020

The added bonus of doing a year-end round up is that you can look at the stats on social media and your blog and see what was most popular…and do more of it!!

Share your plans for 2021

What are you planning for 2021 and will it have an effect on your customers?

Build a bit of excitement about the year to come. I’m sure you’re starting to think about what you’re going to be offering and how many clients you need to be working with.

So share your plans…

  • New collaborations
  • New offers
  • Exciting plans for your business
  • Who you’re going to be working with

Do a newsletter

You’ve been collecting lots of emails over the last year (or even just a few) and you’re working with lots of customers but you never get round to actually doing a newsletter.

Until fairly recently I honestly wondered what on earth I was going to talk about, but then I had an idea…

What if every month i just did a round up of the blog posts I’ve written, the places Ive been featured, the clients Ive worked with and any special offers I have?

Using Mailchimp I simply copy my newsletter every month and change the photos and the links. Its now a much more simple thing to do and doesn’t rely on me having something new (and interesting or not) to say each month!

Give a gift

Can you give something away as a thank you to all your past customers and potential customers?

Something small (advise, an ebook, a checklist etc) that isn’t giving away all your expertise but is a little taster and a christmas present.

If you’ve got the technical skills to link this to mail-chimp so that people have to sign up for it – even better!

Create your visibility strategy for 2021

This isn’t strictly going to increase your visibility for 2021…but bear with me.

Imagine the satisfaction in December 2021 when you look back (and do your year-end review) and you’ve stuck to your VISIBILITY plan!

Here are just a few tips

  • What’s your message.
  • Who are your ideal customers and where do they hang out?
  • What platforms are you going to use & how are you going to use them.
  • How are you going to overcome visibility blocks.
  • How will you build visibility habits for consistency.
  • How will you track your efforts and results to see how far you’ve come!
