I’m not Anne Geddes and I’m certainly no David Bailey. What I am is genuinely good with people – which, it turns out, matters more than almost anything else when someone is standing in front of a camera wishing they were somewhere else.
I understand the self-consciousness from the inside. When you’re in front of my lens, I’m already looking for the double chin, the awkward arm, the weird mid-laugh face – because I’d be looking for exactly those things in a photo of myself. I’m not guessing what you’re worried about. I already know.
I’m a cheeky, grounded Yorkshire lass in my 40s (refusing to say late) who feels genuinely lucky to spend her days meeting brilliant business owners and occasionally getting recognised in random café toilets. (It’s happened more than once…)
